America's Got Talent

My beautiful cousins were on America's Got Talent last night. There isn't an embed code (it was disabled) so here is the link. They have been dancing together since they were tiny little things. It's fun to see them go for it! Enjoy!

Transformers 2!!!!

I took Tyson to go see Transformers 2 tonight (opening night woot!) for a Father's Day/Anniversary present. (Thanks Jena for watching Becca!) I know many of you don't have facebook, so here is my review of it, a little extended from my FB status...no spoilers. Just my general thoughts.

Transformers 2 is pretty awesome! Lots of hand to hand transformer fighting. I just wish they wouldn't use so much useless crude humor. It's worse than 1 in that regard. If you want details I don't mind telling you what to expect, I just didn't want to put that on here for people who don't want to know particulars.

Also since it is a long movie, it seemed that they spent less time on some imporant scenes than really needed. I wonder if they will release an extended version DVD, cause I would like to see that. Honestly, when the movie is 2 hours and 45 minutes, what's 10 mor minutes of action spread throughout?

Also, I have decided I need to buy the soundtracks from both movies. Cause I love the songs they use.

Optimus Prime kicks butt. Gotta love that guy, robot, thing... ;) And of course you have to love Bumblebee!

Buffy vs. Edward

This is so so great! Fabulous for fans of both, although I do have to say, it makes Edward look a little creepy. ;)

Okay I know this really isn't a set milestone or anything, but I got an e-mail from babycenter.com today that informed me that my daughter is 14 1/2 months old! I can't beleive she is that old!

BYU Children's Authors and Illustrators Conference 2009!

I cannot tell you how amazing my experience was here! This week was the most informative, fun and wonderful week of my life! I met so many amazing people and I am going to share some of my photos with you today. Girls from the conference, send me what you got so that I can have them please! Cause I wish I had more of the authors and editors, and agent that made this conference so wonderful. Can you beleive I don't even have ONE picture of Cheryl or Shari? I mean what conference was I going to? Anyway...here is what I got!

This is the beautiful Janette Rallison leading our class the Romance Writers of BYU 2009! She is the author of many YA comedy romances such as MY FAIR GODMOTHER, and JUST ONE WISH.

On Wednesday, we had a short day, so it's tradition to take your author out to eat. So we went to the Brick Oven. A Provo original with GREAT house made root beer!
Right to left: Erin, Me, Janette, Heather, Melony.

Right to left: Sara, Ally, Erin, Janette, Melony.

Right to left: Julie (black and white turned away) Cheri, Carolyn (doesn't she just glow!).

Jena and Me! Jena joined us for lunch that day and we had so much fun!

Right to left: Pam, Julie, and Julie! ;)

Ellise and Sara, Ellise joined us too for lunch before she had to go to work.

My attempt at a class shot. This was try number two so Janette and Erin were ready for this shot.

I look like a goof in this picture, but this is Ann Dee Ellis. The amazing author of THIS IS WHAT I DID and EVERYTHING IS FINE. Her agent Edward (I am in no way going to try to spell his last name off the top of my head) was there and he is INCREDIBLE. He made a very good impression on all of us. It helps that he also reps some of my favorite authors and books as well! That's part of him in the background....the suit.

Me and Sara at the banquet Thursday night. Afterwards we had a lesson from Tracy Hickman that was so incredible! It was a fabulous night!

This is a shot of Ering before Tracy Hickman's speech. I thought it was too funny not to post.

In our class we spent a lot of time critiquing eachother's work to help make us all better writers. Here is Janette commenting on someone's manuscript.

Here is the class!

Our "Romance" shot.

Me and Janette, the best teacher ever. ;)

This is our gift to Janette, a doll of her "Fair Godmother". Heather our assistant made the outfit, she did a fabulous job!

Janette gave us all signed copies of her novel FAME, GLORY, AND OTHER THINGS ON MY TO DO LIST. Here she is signing mine. ;) P.S. I do love you just as if not more than Stephanie! I know you better!

Janette with her Godmother doll.

Heather (the assistant and creator of the doll) and Janette!

Me and Sara with Ally Condie. Seriously people, look for a title with her name on it. She was fabulous. She has already published some LDS fiction with Shadow Mountain and is writing an incredible YA book for the national market! Go Ally!

And last but certainly not least, me and the fabulous Erin!

P.S. For all you gals who were there I thought I would post some of the highlights from our class!

We are not as good of friends as you think we are!
