ABC's About Me!

You've been tagged! You are supposed to write a note with the ABC's of YOU.

You're supposed to tag 25 people at the end, but that is way too much! If you read this and have not done it, consider yourself tagged!

Thanks to Aimee and Brina for doing this on facebook and tagging me!

A - Age: 26

B - Bed size: KING!!!!!! When you're married you need room...not going into more detals. ;)

C - Chore you hate: cleaning the tub/shower.

D - Dog(s) name: I don't have one, but when we were little we had a mutt my brother found in a snow storm on his way home for Christmas one year. His real name was Mahonri-Moriankumer, but we called him boots. That dog got out and ran away SO MANY TIMES!

E - Essential start your day item: Sadly, an internet check...my three e-mails, blogs, then facebook. Then we have family scripture study. (Is that backwards?)

F - Favorite color: PURPLE!!!!!!!!!! All shades.

G - Gold or Silver: Depends, I wear both. My wedding rings are gold because I wanted classic and different, EVERYONE does white gold/platinum these days.

H - Height: 5' 6 1/2 "

I - Instrument: Voice. I want to take piano again though, I really love the piano, but I didn't love learning to play when I was younger.

O - Overnight hospital stay other than birth of child: 16 days in the hospital when I broke my leg and foot.

P - Pet Peeve: As bad as it sounds (and I am trying to be better) but when people are "dumber" than I am, which amounts to not doing things my way most of the time....I know I'm horrible! Bad, rude, drivers is one example!

Q - Quotes you like: Oh gosh....um....there are lots! But off the top of my head one of my faves is from Much Ado About Nothing "Oh what men dare do, not knowing what they do!"

R - Right or left handed: Right

S - Siblings: 6 brothers and 1 sister. (In laws = 7 more brothers, 8 more sisters, 1 SIL on the way in May, another possible one this year?)

Y - Yummy food you make : I love to cook and bake! I am told I am good at what I do, so I'll say yes I make yummy food...bests? No idea...depends on the person eating it.

At the Park!

On Wednesday we went to the park on Huron with a bunch of friends. Mommy needed some girl time, and Becca needed to get out of the house and enjoy the nice weather before it gets rainy again this weekend. (GRRR to the rain) We had so much fun! This was Becca's first real trip to the park for any good amount of time, and she had tons of fun. Enjoy yet another post with massive amounts of pictures. I can't help it, she's my first....

All ready to go! Sunscreen - check! SPF blocking hat - check! Energy to get out - ALWAYS!

MMMMM! Making a mess with my PB&J sandwich!

Brad came to have fun too, he ended up having a rough day, but Becca was so happy to see him. She just loves Brad and lights up every time he is around.

Sisters Bella and Ava having their lunch!

Nahvi eating her lunch!

Baby Gavin was having a blast!

Dialma and her girls Juliette and Danielle.

Sup? I'm just walking around.

Hi! I think this park is pretty cool!

Since I didn't want to climb all over the gym and go down slides with her we stuck to walking around and the swings.
Whee! Becca kept saying Wooo! and Whee! She really was having a blast on the swings!

I LOVED the swing!

I sat on the ground in front of her to push the swing and take pictures and she kept looking over the edge to see me, it was too cute.
Hi mom!

Peeking in on the twins...whatcha guys doin?

I thought this was hillarious! Bella and Ava shared the baby swing.

The twins playing in the shade.

So happy to be outside and playing at the park!

Becca had so much fun with the kids at the park!

It was an awesome day! It was nice to get out of the house. I don't know how often I will be taking Becca out yet because trying to keep her from eating the chopped up tire bits wasn't so much fun, but it was a blast!

Book Club - April 16th, Princess of the Midnight Ball by Jessica Day George

Book club this month was a blast! We read Princess of the Midnight Ball by Jessica Day George which is a novelizational retelling of the Twelve Dancing Princesses! Which happens to be one of my fav fairy tales from when I was a little girl. We dressed up and wore our "dancing slippers" and princess crowns, all received a rose and had a great night! Here are some pics.

Me and Linds loving being girly and fun! I'm so glad she came so that she could have a night for herself withiout kids!

Angela and Jena looking so pretty!

Jena, Dialma and Sara eating our "banquet" before the ball.

Lindsey, me and Angela. Thanks again Angela for hosting a fun night!

Princess Dialma reading the last few pages of the book.

This is my camera's attempt at the automatic photograph of all of us. At least we are all in the picture right? It was so fun to dress up and wear crowns!

Our own princess in her dancing slippers. These things wear out often too!

Ellise in all her beautiful ballerina glory!

Sara tried on her sister's shoes but in the end decided it was too painful to bear for long. We have a newfound respect for ballerinas!

Dialma showed off her ability to go up on point without wearing Ballet shoes!

As part of our discussion on the origins of the story and where we had heard it for the first time, Angela read us this picture book version that sticks closer to the original grims fairy tale.

I thought this picture was great. It is very close to what I pictured even in Midnight Ball, with the boats and the lake and the castle set on an island surrounded by the lake.

It was such a fun night! I just love our book club!

I am so happy to have such beautiful friends both inside and out...and that means ALL of you reading this! Don't you dare for one second think, oh she's thinking of "those" friends, but not me. Stop it! I love you all! And if you for one second started thinking those negative thoughts, you NEED this challenge!

Easter Pics - Sunday April 12th

Easter Sunday was a really nice day. The messages at Church were beautiful, Rebecca looked adorable, the Easter Bunny brought all sorts of fun things for Rebecca to do. Our friend Andrew came up and we had a yummy traditional dinner of Ham and all the sides. After dinner we dyed eggs! And to top it all off watched the "To This End was I Born" video. It was a great relaxing day to celebrate the life and sacrifice of our Lord!

Before church, Tyson took Becca outside to get some Easter pictures of her with our pretty bulb flowers that are now starting to bloom! Of course she didn't want to sit still for pictures...

Rebecca in her Easter dress with our pretty flowers that have popped up!

I want to explore!

This is the best we could get! But eventhough she wouldn't smile, it's still cute.

Rebecca and mom before Church!

After church we let Becca go into the family room and discover all the fun eggs and things that the Easter Bunny had left for her!

Here's a shot of all the fun eggs lying around!

And here is a shot of her Easter basket full of goodies and toys!

I love finding Eggs! I figured out to pick one up and put it in a basket now. I'm such a pro!

I'm discovering my Easter Basket and the fun flower headband that the Easter Bunny left for me!

These new Eater Toys are great!

Putting my bracelet into my purse. This has nothing to do with Easter other than the fact that it was taken on Easter. ;)

Our Easter dinner. Tyson was taking the picture and was trying to frame the food in the shot, so I was in it, and Andrew got cut off...oh well, the purpose is to see the meal!

Our family on Easter afternoon.

Happy Easter!

Our precious girl!

Our little family!

Rebecca pointing to Jesus, because that is what Easter is really all about.

Rebecca and mommy in their Easter Best!

Becca and daddy looking cute together as always. (Note: I decided that the reason why she always looks so good in pics with daddy is I am on the other side of the camera.)

I look like a complete scrunched up nerd in this shot, but Becca looked so cute I couldn't help but put it up. What can I say, I'm a sucker for my daughter!

I thought this was just classic. This face says "I am DONE!"

Becca feeding her baby doll! She is so cute with this doll! She knows right where to feed the baby, then "shares" the bottle by sucking on it herself.

As is tradition, we had to dye eggs! Tyson and I had done a few at Linds and Jake's the night before, but Andrew always does holiday stuff with us, so we did some more!

Becca and mom sitting together waiting to start the dying!

Becca "helping" dye her first Easter egg!

Wow mom what is that really blue thing? I want to eat it (which I had to keep her from doing so her mouth didn't turn all blue)! After this it was off to bed for the little one. It had been a BIG weekend.

The three of us all trying to get that perfect level of dye on our eggs!

Tyson and I dying eggs together!

Making a purple one!

My cool sunset egg! I was very happy with how it turned out!

Our plate of Eggs. I love coloring Eggs. It isn't Easter unless you do it!

Okay folks, I now have book club and a GNO to catch you up on! Eeek I hate being behind! See you soon!
