A Happy Thought

My brother posted this quote on facebook, and I loved it so much I wanted to share it with you all!

Selfish, jealous people invariably are unhappy. It is so much more fun to be generous, to rejoice in the happiness of others, to share in their success. It is fun to congratulate successful people, when praise is merited; it is fun to share their happiness and success. It is more agreeable to associate and to do business with courteous, cheerful people. One of the best ways to make others happy is to be happy yourself, to radiate sunshine, courage and hope. To do this, evil jealousy must be banished from the heart and love replace it. When that is done you will rejoice with others even though they reap where they have not sown. God's great love transcends all bounds--it goes beyond the demands of mere justice. He rejoices when the lost are found, and is overjoyed when the prodigal repents and comes home. It is well to cultivate these same virtues and ever be grateful for the beautiful and friendly world He has made for a home, for the blessings that come through the inspiration of authors, inventors, musicians, and the peace and happiness that comes through following the master in the ways of peace.
