McDonalds Monopoly

Now I know McDonalds does this because it gets people to go there who otherwise would not. I admit I am one of those people who gains my yearly 5 pounds by eating there for breakfast and lunches several times a week in hopes of finding that ONE monopoly gameboard piece.

HOWEVER, this year I encourage those who are regular McDonalds goers to forego the Mickey Dee's.

The reason: In California there is a battle over Prop 8 that needs to be won! We need this amendment to the CA constitution passed in order to keep the defiition of marriage between a man and a woman.

You might be asking yourself this very question: What does this have to do with McDonalds?

Well McDonalds is helping the fight AGAINST prop 8 and giving millions of dollars to the gay/lesbian community for campaigning against this proposition. So I urge you to take your buisness elsewhere (at least until all of this campaigning is over). Take your kids to Wendy's or Carl's Jr., the food is better anyway!

For more info on how you can support prop 8 and why it is important (even if you don't live in CA) go to http://protectmarriage.com/ or http://protectfamiliesnow.blogspot.com/

A Flower

Tyson brought me home a single red rose last night because he was an hour later than he told me he would be. It is so great to feel appriciated and not forgotten!

Need Some Pictures!

I was looking at my blog today and noticed there are NO pictures left because I have been doing so many non-picture posts. So I thought I'd stick a few on here. This is Rebecca in a red dress that I wore when I was a baby. I thought they were adorable!

I love how she is grabbing her foot in this one -- and starting to sit up on her own better I might add!

This one Daddy is holding her up, and I loved what she did with her skirt! She is turning into such a ham! I love it!

Brisingr Reaction

I know lots of you have not finished it yet, so I won't give anything away. But I really enjoyed this book. The last third of it was amazing so if you find the begnining slow, keep reading!

What I really wanted to post about however is how badly someone needs to hook up Christopher Paolini with the missionaries. Seriously, when you read his books, if he is contemplating some of the stuff Eragon contemplates in real life then he is ripe and ready!

I love finding books that can lead me back to the eternal truths that I hold dear. Whether the genre be fantasy or non-fiction (okay lets face it we all know my favorites are fantasy and romance (not harlequin stuff)) truth can be found in all sorts of mediums.

Happy October

Check out my new Halloween look! ;) I love change! I also added some Halloween inspired music to my playlist. I hope you enjoy!
